Our story

A Cretan soap for every hand

Crete has grown olives for thousands of years, and the island's oil is prized for its purity. For generations, Cretan households have made a simple castile soap from that oil — a soap with nothing harsh in it, gentle enough for a baby's skin and strong enough for hard-working hands. Elea carries on that tradition. Each bar is made in Crete from the island's olive oil, cut and left to age and harden slowly, so it cleans gently and rinses clean, the way a good soap should.

How it's made

The soap is made the traditional way from Cretan olive oil, with no added fragrance or harsh chemicals. It is cut into bars and left to age and harden slowly, so each bar is gentle and long-lasting.

How to use it

Work it into a lather in your hands or on a cloth, use it to wash, and rinse clean. It is gentle enough for face and body and for the whole family. Keep it dry between uses so the bar lasts.
